5th Annual Charity Ball Recipient Announced
February 04, 2010 1:51pmThe Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce announces that after much deliberation a recipient of the Fifth Annual Community Charity Ball has been chosen. This year's recipient will be the Good Samaritan Shelter, Inc.
After hearing the news Nate Hoffer, Executive Director of the Good Samaritan Shelter, Inc. said, "The Good Samaritan Shelter is incredibly grateful to be chosen as the recipient charity for the 5th Annual Community Chamber Ball. I applaud the commitment of the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce in supporting the work of the non-profit community. With the support of the Chamber, the Good Samaritan Shelter is able to provide shelter, food and hope to many residents of the Phoenixville area. The Chamber is an organization we all can be proud of."
The Ball, which will be held on March 13, 2010, is a black-tie-optional affair to raise money for one of our participating non-profit members. Dance to the sounds of a Bigg Romeo, dine on fabulous food and desserts and bid on a beautiful array of items during our live and silent auctions!
"We are excited to once again host the Community Charity Ball and raise money for another wonderful local non-profit organization," said Chamber Executive Director Kim Cooley, IOM. "The 2010 Ball will be an incredible evening filled with good fun, good food and good friends for an even better cause."
Last year's event raised more than $12,000 which was split between our winners.
Recipients of the 2009 Charity Ball were Citizen Advocacy of Chester County, The Clinic, Holy Family School, Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives and The Phoenixville Senior Center.
