Chamber Announces New Energy Partnership
July 12, 2010 2:51pmThe Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce is pleased to introduce the APPI Energy Procurement Program. This member benefit identifies and implements solutions to reduce and manage electricity expenses. The Program is managed by Affiliated Power Purchasers International (APPI Energy), an independent energy consultant that has been endorsed by the PA Chamber of Business and Industry since 2002. APPI Energy provides businesses with education, access to many competitive suppliers, and unbiased recommendations. APPI Energy provides what your business needs to make an informed "choice" in the dynamic PA electricity market.
As the electricity rate caps expire in Pennsylvania, you should learn more about how your facility can benefit from APPI Energy's services. As a part of its services, APPI Energy will:
• Support Phoenixville Chamber members by managing and reducing energy costs
• Negotiate, contract, and manage critical components of electricity and natural gas supply
• Provide a simple process with minimal time commitment from you
• Deliver significant results with no upfront costs.
APPI Energy has worked with 2,500 businesses in Pennsylvania and other deregulated states, saving clients millions in energy costs. Working on behalf of electricity customers, never the suppliers, APPI Energy will position your business most favorably in the market and make many suppliers compete for your business.
"Our members need a resource that can assist them with the changing electricity markets," states Kim Cooley, Chamber Executive Director. "APPI Energy has the experience and industry knowledge to be a great asset for our members."
For PECO customers, electricity supply tariff rate caps will end January 1, 2011. PECO is conducting auctions on the wholesale energy markets to enable it to set tariff rates for its customers in 2011. Commercial clients fall into three categories: small (under 100 kW demand), medium (100 to 500 kW demand), and large (over 500 kW demand.) Demand information can be found on your electricity bills. For small and medium PECO customers, the final PECO tariff rates will be set this fall and will be in effect from January 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012. Large commercial customers' rates will be set based on a Spring 2011 auction. These rates will be set for one year, beginning January 1, 2011.
Now is the time to seek competitive supply options for your business. You need unbiased, up-to-date information. Do not be rushed into or feel compelled to choose any solution until you have market facts and pricing discovery from many suppliers. A well-reasoned business decision that fits your specific business's needs is the goal. Use APPI Energy as your ongoing consultant without being obligated to pay upfront consulting fees. APPI Energy is only compensated when it identifies and implements solutions for your business.
