Chamber Member Profiled in Book of Entrepreneurs

Guy DunnGuy Dunn, The Idea Guy and owner of the largest Geeks On Call franchise in the Philadelphia metro area, tells how and why he became an entrepreneur in the recently published book, A Cup of Cappaccino for the Entrepreneur's Spirit Volume II. The book, by Joretta Horn Nord and Cindy Patterson Thomson, is the second in a series profiling entrepreneurs throughout the country.

Guy's inspirational story describes how he was influenced by his father, a business owner, to become an entrepreneur at a young age. After owning and operating several companies, Guy purchased the Geeks On Call franchise in 2006. He currently is involved in several other ventures including new product launches, real estate and international business.

Whether he's repairing or installing a computer or attending a networking event, Guy brings tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm to everything he does. His motto, "I'll sleep when I die," reflects his ‘never stop' attitude not to mention the fact that he requires only five or six hours of sleep a night.

A member of the Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce since 2006, the Upper Darby resident is a familiar face at numerous other area organizations including the Women's Referral Network and the Great Valley chapter of Professional Referral Exchange where he currently serves as president. He also publishes a monthly newsletter highlighting various networking opportunities in the Philadelphia suburbs.
