Cooley Named to PACP Board of Directors

CooleyKim Cooley, IOM, Executive Director of the Phoenixville Regional Chamber of Commerce (PRCC), was elected to the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals (PACP) at the fall conference held recently in Erie.

Cooley, who has served as the Executive Director in Phoenixville for the past five years and is also currently serving on the Board of Regents for the U.S. Chamber's Institute Program at Villanova University. She will begin a three-year term with PACP in January of 2010. As a board member of PACP, Cooley will help lead the organization in its effort to achieve the goals outlined at a recent strategic planning retreat. This includes offering more professional training, certification and networking events for members, enhancing PACP's website, and expanding the affinity programs available to its members.

"The Chamber Board is proud of Kim's leadership. This greater level of involvement will make her a stronger executive and make us a better Chamber," said Fred Hubler, PRCC Board President. Sally Haas, PACP Board Chairman added, "It is a pleasure to know that Kim will be joining the PACP Board of Directors. She'll bring fresh ideas to the board. We look forward to working with her."

PACP is the professional association of Pennsylvania local chamber of commerce executives and others employed in positions complementary to chamber of commerce work. The mission of PACP is to enhance the quality and relevance of chamber management in the commonwealth of PA. To achieve this mission, PACP is dedicated to providing direct professional assistance and continuous quality education in professional and organizational development to its members.
